Tonsils Be Gone

I got my tonsils out on November 5th 2012, because I had too much strep throat  in one year!  I was so excited to get them removed, until they got removed.  I was out that day.  All I did was sleep on our couch.  I had to drink, and take a lot of medicine.  Tip:  Don’t get your tonsils removed after the age of ten up.  I heard from a lot of people that experienced it.  It took weeks for them to swallow normally again.  Luckily I was ten when I got them removed.  It took me about six to seven weeks to recover.

Bionic suits that help disabled people

This is my future

Wearable robots designed for disabled people and other special purposes.

Some of the things that I want to be when I grow up include: doctor, teacher, scientist, and engineer. I recently looked at a website for a company called Ekso Bionics (http://eksobionics.com) where I found wearable robots that are designed for disabled people and other special purposes.
Ekso Bionics has some of their wearable robots in 15 rehabilitation centers in the US to help people with conditions like ALS, MS, Cerebral Palsy, strokes, and old age.
Having an onboard computer and a lot of light weight and powerful mechanics, these are very expensive robots. Ekso Bionics is hoping to reduce the cost of making these so disabled individuals can afford them and get up out of their wheelchairs.
Stuff like this takes a long time to perfect. I get that. But if I start doing the right things NOW (age 10) perhaps I can be better prepared to help with this effort when I finish college.
A nice lady wrote to me from Ekso Bionics describing some of the different roles of people who work there. I am going to ask her to send this blog link to some of those talented people and hope that they tell me what THEY were DOING and STUDYING when THEY were 10 years old.—What hobbies and activities helped prepare you for what you do at Ekso Bionics?
Please just add your comments below and thank you for any thoughts.

Sleep walking

Mom heard noises in the basement and flipped on the light and caught a picture of me sleep walking again.  This time I didn’t have a knife or anything.

My dog Tutu

Tutu is the cutest. (: He can do many tricks, such as: sit, stay, come, lay down, roll over, play dead, jump through hula hoops, crawl, and also touch the bell on our door when he needs to go potty.
